this really cleaned up our setup, and it is easy to use. The documentation sheet that came with it had a typo on the priority, so I was scratching my head for a while until I determined the true priority of the different ports (which was more logical than the documentation). had to play around with the priority -- I have a few devices that come on automatically when I turn on the power to the entertainment center. and I wanted those to be low priority. price is right. it is possible to mix and match composite and s-video on different ports (I was not 100% sure on this until I tried it).
Then, once you turn one of them on, this will automatically change the input to what was turned on. This is quite an amazing product. If you have more than one device to plug into the TV, plug them all into this. So there is really no work whatsoever when switching between inputs. The only annoying thing is that unless it's on the floor, it tips over backwards really easily from the weight of the cables.
Product does what its supposed to do. Auto sensor feature is great, so any device you turn on it goes to that. Has priority levels so if 2 devices are turned on the one with greater priority takes precedence.
(2) Composite video input source (cable box) with S-video chosen as output from the 61153 is of minimal quality. Works great. "fuzzies" on sharp image transitions, also some color distortion. I'd give it 5 stars except for two minor flaws. (1) Won't stand up with cables attached, falls over, so I just shoved it behind my cable box and DVD player, out of sight. My system will accept as inputs both composite and S-video. Choosing the composite output from the 61153 got rid of the image distortion.
Works like a charm and even does the modulation that I needed. The only thing that I dislike is the blinking light when in auto scan mode.
